11 February 2024, International Day of Women and Girls in Science. Tecres celebrates the talents of women, an essential resource for innovation.

The name Tecres is composed of two words, Technology and Research, a clear expression of the innovative nature of the company. From this innovation comes a promise we’ve been keeping every day for over 40 years: to improve people’s lives with products that help doctors to make the most of their talent.

A fundamental role in research and development here at Tecres is played by women, who place their scientific, mathematical and technological skills at the service of the company. 27% of our employees with STEM competencies (i.e. with a degree in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) are women, and 1 in 3 of them are aged under 30.

With this in mind, it comes as no surprise that we are delighted to celebrate the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, an observance adopted by the General Assembly of the United Nations in 2015 and implemented by UNESCO, in support of the message it seeks to transmit every year on 11 February: the importance of fostering the full and equal participation of women and girls in scientific and technological progress.

In addition to their renowned professional skills and competence, the women who work in Tecres are ambassadors of optimism, enthusiasm and a common-sense, practical approach. The International Day of Women and Girls in Science held on 11 February offers a further opportunity to acknowledge their value and the role they play in the company, and to thank them on behalf of the entire Tecres community.
