Tecres partners with Wiltrom for the distribution of Tripod-Fix®
Tecres is pleased to announce a commercial partnership with Wiltrom, the Taiwan-based company specialising in medical device design and development. The collaboration expands the range of acrylic resins and accessories for percutaneous vertebroplasty procedures offered by Tecres.
On 1 July, the ICLO Teaching and Research Centre in Verona hosted the presentation event, organised in collaboration with Wiltrom, of the Tripod-Fix® Vertebral Body Augmentation System, the vertebral body augmentation system indicated for the reduction of vertebral fractures due to osteoporotic compression. Tripod-Fix® is indicated for use in combination with spinal resin during percutaneous vertebroplasty surgery, and has accumulated with more than 1,400 real world clinical cases.
Here, data from a study and the effectiveness of Tripod-Fix® in the treatment of painful, acute osteoporotic compression vertebral fractures were reported. In particular, a significant clinical outcome was found with the reduction of pain and degree of disability, associated with the restoration of spinal biomechanics through the recovery of somatic height and the reduction of kyphotic curvatures. The cadaver lab session was conducted by Dr. Stefano Marcia, Head of Radiology at the SS. Trinità Hospital in Cagliari.
